Day 3: Source Interviews
Task 1: InstructionsStudents should return to the groups they were assigned in class on Day 2 according to their documents. Using the information from their document and the analysis from their homework, they will write a script for an interview of the author of their assigned document. Students should use the interview script guide to help them write.

Task 2: InstructionsStudents should each take on one of the roles below and record their interviews!
Interviewer: Will be on camera introducing the interviewee and asking the questions. Interview Subject: Will take on the persona of the author of the document and will answer the questions using evidence from the primary source. Camera Operator: Will record the interview and follow the instruction of the Set Designer and Director. Director: Will be the person to indicate when it is time to start, saying "Action", and when it is time to end, saying "Cut". This person will also make recommendations to the actors about their volume, speed, and enunciation during the recording. Set Designer: This person will set up the scene that will appear on camera, paying close attention to the seating, background, lighting, and even the clothing the people on camera wear. |

Needed to Record Video:
FLIP Camera or other video recorder that will allow your teacher to download your final recording. Location for filming. Chairs and appropriate clothing for interviewer and interview subject. Any other props or objects that may appear on set. |
